After a look at some of the artists at work on their pieces for the Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans project sponsored by the PangeaSeed Foundation, here is a look at some select walls they painted. The muralists were invited in by the non-profit in Napier, New Zealand to create works to raise awareness for ocean environmental issues. PangeaSeed Foundation recently took off on another large expedition – accompanied by 29 international and local artists as they launched the newest edition of their Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans street art festival in Napier, New Zealand. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness, stimulate dialogue, change perception, and inspire positive change around pressing ocean environmental issues through the power art, science, and creativity. Releases: Kozyndan // Pangeaseed – “Celestial Bodies” Print

Continuing their partnership with Pangeaseed, artistic duo Kozyndan recently released a new print entitled Celestial Bodies. Their love for the oceans is well known, so this this whimsical piece revisiting their riff on the narwhal is a perfect project to collaborate on with the for-benefit company trying to help to save the seas through ocean-inspired art. The hardworking people from the PangeaSeed project are continuing their praiseworthy efforts with another successful edition of their Sea Walls: Murals for Ocean events. After an event in Mexico back in August (covered), they recently finished out their San Diego edition. A couple of weeks ago Pangeaseed.org wrapped up another praiseworthy project on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico – Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition. For this event that took place from July 20-28, they invited a group of international artists to help raise awareness for the conservation of the ocean. Similar to what they did with POW! WOW! POW! WOW! ’14 / Openings: 1xRun x Pangeaseed show

One of the main events of this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii was the release of a POW! WOW! 2104 Featured Artists Series of limited edition prints by the 1xRun, as well as the opening of their popup show along with the Pangeaseed organization.
