Video: JR – “The Wrinkles of the City”

Filmed and edited in his signature style, this The Wrinkles of the City video documents JR’s recent project in Shanghai which included an exhibition (covered) and street work (covered). With the general release of his acclaimed Women Are Heroes documentary set for this week in his home country, although not in the film, this footage should only excite the French street photographer’s fans even more before the worldwide release. Finding Vivian Maier: Chicago Street Photographer is the first American exhibition of photographs by Vivian Maier (1926 – 2009). Streets: Merry Christmas from Slinkachu

More Christmas greetings come from street miniature photographer Slinkachu. This piece in London entitled Maz + Joe is a twist on the usual story this time of year with Mary riding something other than a Donkey, but it looks like all the places to sleep are still full. Hopefully, they’ll be able to find a manger to keep warm and deliver their bundle of joy. Another view after the jump…

Merry Christmas from Marilyn Minter

The tree and star are priced at $125 or only the star for $10 all available here with some of […]

It looks like JR has uploaded more tantalizing extracts from his Women Are Heroes movie that debuted at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Part of the street photographer’s 28 Millimètres project, this film chronicles his efforts to bring attention to the plight of downtrodden women everywhere by pasting up large-scale photos in an urban setting (see Paris). More footage after the jump…
