This Saturday (October 10th), Tim Barber will be opening a new solo at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, his fourth showing with the Tokyo showspace. Returning to Boston for the third and final piece in a series of public works on the tallest building in the city, JR (interviewed) decided place his new work on the 44th to 50th floor. Standing at 150 feet tall and 86 feet wide, the piece is the tallest work ever envisioned by the French photograffeur. Previews: JR – “DECADE, Portrait d’une génération” @ Galerie Perrotin (Paris)

Tomorrow night (September 12th), the newest solo from JR (interviewed) will be opening at the rue de Turenne and impasse Saint-Claude spaces of Galerie Perrotin in Paris. Entitled DECADE, Portrait dune génération, the exhibition will feature a selection of his videos, ink on wood pieces, and recent photographs that has spanned the last 10 years. Liu Bolin – United Nations Global Goals Campaign

Last week, Liu Bolin unveiled a new project he has been working on with the United Nations for the Global Goals Campaign. On September 25th 2015, 193 world leaders will commit to 17 Global Goals to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality & injustice. Fix climate change. After Melbourne, LA and NY, the next show on Søren Solkær‘s Surface world tour opened Friday June 12th at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen. The exhibition in his hometown is the largest on the world tour, covering a 3,500 square meter area, which provided a great setting for a major street art related event. Recap: Gary Baseman – “Happy Toby To You” @ Time Square Hong Kong

Continuing to spread his pervasive imagery to Asia (also see Shanghai & Taipei), Gary Baseman’s (interviewed) recent project saw him celebrating his iconic Toby character’s 10th birthday in Hong Kong. Held at the busy Time Square complex in Causeway Bay, the installation (arranged by LeBasse Projects) featured a dinner party for his faithful companion as well as photo exhibition of their travels together.
