Streets: Dabs Myla 2013 Euro Summer Tour

Australian artistic couple, Dabs Myla, recently left their LA home/studio to spend couple of weeks traveling and painting around Europe. By creating poppy, very colorful, clean line wall murals, often topped with cute, cartoonish like characters that are their signature elements, the artists left their marks on walls all over the old continent. They visited The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and collaborated with numerous Europe based graffiti artists such as Newtwo, Vino, Aryz, Boogie, Tiws, Soten, Bates, etc, along the way. Releases: AJ Fosik – “Shining Deathless” Print

Sculptor AJ Fosik (see our studio visit here) is known for his wood-bashing skills, but in a slight departure from his more recent medium of choice, he is due to release a limited print this week. Shining Deathless bridges the gap between his sculpture and the print medium by the use of relief on this embossed, hand finished print (see the hand-carved brass used in the process below). The print comes in at 13” x 18” paper size with deckle edge and is  signed and numbered in […]

Releases: Tauba Auerbach x Paulson Bott Press – “MESH / MOIRE” Print

This past winter, Tauba Auerbach returned to her hometown of San Francisco and visited the studios of master printers Paulson Bott Press to create an exceptional fine art edition. Entitled Mesh / Moire, this new project stems from the innovative synergy of PBP’s wide array of tools & printing expertise and  Tauba’s seemingly limitless creativity with color theory & visual awareness. Drawing on a simple theory of stretching mesh, Ms. Auerbach warps the symmetrical squares into non-conforming geometric shapes, eventually bending the very pattern which she started […]
