AM dropped by Gallery 1988 LA this past Saturday and met up with our friend Greg “Craola” Simkins. Greg spent the afternoon treating everyone to live painting (previewed). Seeing Greg paint live is a rare occurrence and was truly a special treat. Releases: David Choe – “Jimi Hendrix” Print

What’s with all the great limited edition releases recently? Here is David Choe holding up an epic print (his largest ever) of his Jimi Hendrix painting. Limited to 27 (also Hendrix’s age at death) and sized at 44″ x 51 5/8″, the print was priced at $600. Unfortunately, it already sold out before Choe even got the post up on his blog.

UK artist Word to Mother lands in San Francisco next week forÂ his debut USÂ solo show “Young Mind, Old Soul” at Fifty24SF Gallery, where he will be droppingÂ this exclusive print release (above). Take a look at this intricate new laser-engraved skate deck design from Greg Simkins. The “Lonely Knight” wood decks, limited to 25, priced at $325 will be released this Saturday, June 27th (12 – 4 pm) at Gallery 1988 LA. Benefit: Camille Rose Garcia “Lil Elorphant” Print

In case you missed their first print with Mark Ryden, Roq La Rue just announced a second charitable print they did with Camille Rose Garcia. Again this is to raise money for David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust so every penny of this amazing print is going towards this great charity which helps endangered elephants and rhinos in Africa. Releases: Mark Ryden – “Tree of Mystery” Print

A new limited edition print from Mark Ryden is set to release on May 28th (8 am PDT) on the Porterhouse online store.Â The stunning image, entitled “Tree of Mystery” is a giclee print with letterpressed title and embossed chop on archival cotton rag paper. The print is framed in a beautiful hand-carved wood frame with museum quality archival plexiglass and will be numbered and signed by the Ryden. More info and images after the jump.
