Releases: Tomokazu Matsuyama x Paper Monster – “Running Even Deep”

Our friends at Paper Monster have been working long and hard on a very special print by Tomokazu “Matsu” Matsuyama (interviewed). Entitled Running Even Deep, the print involved a 23-layer screenprinting process using oil based inks, as well as giclee, on thick deckled-edged paper. In addition, every one of the very limited edition of 50 has been uniquely spray-painted by Matsu himself. Street art icon and Fullbright Scholar, Steve “ESPO” Powers, who made waves last year with his A Love Letter For You urban revitalization and documentary film project (see trailer here), has released a new print with with Exhibition A today. Produced in an edition of 100, “You and Me” provides the perfect representation of ESPO’s work, with clever word play, tight typographic elements and simple imagery. It seems that Nick Walker (interviewed) has an affinity for New York. Following his recent visits to Williamsburg and the Meat Packing district last year, he is set to return later this month for the launch of his new screenprint TMA (The Morning After) New York. Fans of Blu’s fantastic graff-animations – Muto, Combo (collaboration with David Ellis), and Big Bag Big Boom – now have a way to own some of the footage. The prolific street artist has released his first ever DVD, signed and numbered with an edition of 100, covering videos he has made during the last 10 years.
