Coming up on May 14th, Jenny Morgan will be opening her second solo with Driscoll Babcock Galleries in New York. Entitled All We Have Is Now, the new oil on canvas works from the New York-based artist continues her series of portraiture accented with increasingly intense hues. Upcoming: Invader – “Wipe Out” @ The Qube (Hong Kong)

After some advance street activity (covered here & here) in Hong Kong earlier this year, Invader will be returning with a show opening on May 2nd at The Qube, PMQ (35 Aberdeen Street, Central). Spring Open Studios with Eric Joyner

For those interested in seeing the work space of Eric Joyner (interviewed) and learning more about his process, don’t miss the Spring Open Studios at Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco. Streets: Bezt x Natalia Rak (Caserta)

While Sainer was taking a studio break by painting a large mural in Lisbon (covered), the other half of Etam Cru, Bezt was invited to Caserta, Italy for the Memorie Urbane Festival where he was joined by his fiancee Natalia Rak. As you can see, this art couple collaborated on a diptych mural painted on the opposite sides of the same five story building. Openings: Patrick Martinez – “FORBIDDEN FRUIT” @ New Image Art

Last week at New Image Art in Los Angeles, the versatile Patrick Martinez unveiled new mixed media works with a show entitled FORBIDDEN FRUIT. The fresh work combines his signature neon light technique with sculpture & painting, taking inspiration from things like hip hop and minority culture. Examples include guns mingling and appearing with common place items like fruits highlighted by neon lights, or imagery products are placed on the wall like strange hybrids – all giving insight into Martinez’s artistic vision. Previews: Samurai! / Giant Robot @ Worcester Museum

Tomorrow night (April 17th), the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts will be opening a new show – Samurai! As you can probably deduce from the title, warriors from the medieval and early-modern Japan will be theme of the exhibition. Showing alongside historical Japanese arms and armor from the museum and the John Woodman Higgins collections will be works from contemporary artists invited by guest curator Eric Nakamura (interviewed), editor and founder of Giant Robot Magazine. Streets: Artists for “Different Strokes” (Penang)

Along with a contributing works for Different Strokes (covered), a group show in Malaysia curated by Giancarlo Petrucci of Graffiti Prints, some of the artists also found time to work on the streets.
