With the opening of Faile’s exhibition at the Dallas Contemporary imminent now, we have a video to share with you from our friends at OBEY. In it, one of the Patrick’s takse us through their studio and talks about some of the work of people that have inspired them that line their walls as well as walks us through the process behind the pieces they are building for the show. Chris Valkov just opened his solo exhibition Schematical Sabbatical in Breeze Block Gallery’s gallery 2 space. We were excited to see the work on the walls after getting a preview on our recent studio visit and Chris’ debut showing certainly didn’t disappoint. Drawing references from his endeavours as an architectural draughtsman, Valkov’s exhibition materials presented a highly graphical series of paintings using a cohesive colour palette throughout. On Thursday night, September 19th, the Long Beach Museum of Art will host the opening of a new group exhibition entitled Risqué {dirty little pictures}. Openings: Augustine Kofie – “Structurally Sound” @ White Walls

Over the weekend, the White Walls Gallery in San Francisco presented new urban abstractions from Augustine Kofie. Entitled Structurally Sound, the new works continued the Los Angeles-based artist’s post graffiti aesthetic with thoughts of “sound structures and systems of reliability” when creating the paintings.
