Â AM had the chance to stop by Joshua Liner GalleryÂ to check out two great shows: Unexpected Occurrences by Oliver VernonÂ and Unfinished Business by CrashÂ (previewed). Both of these artists took us by surprise with their unique styles. Crash has long been regarded as one of the pioneers of graffiti art, but we noticed his worksÂ broughtÂ a mix of Lichtenstein meets the streets. Urban Angel in London currently has a wicked group show entitled “XXI” on view through February 27th. The exhibition features both new and secondary market pieces from over 21 street artists including: Aiko, Anthony Lister, Antony Micallef, Banksy, Bast, Blek Le Rat, DFace, Faile, Herakut, Hush, Judith Supine, Mr. Brainwash, Nick Walker, Sixeart, Swoon, and Titifreak. Openings: Movers and Shakers @ POV Evolving

“Movers and Shakers” (previewed) opened on Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles’ Chinatown at POV Evolving Gallery and AM dropped by to check it out. Some of the participating artists who also dropped by included Buff Monster, Johnny “KMNDZ” Rodriguez, Mia, and Tessar Lo, among others. Check out photos of the opening after the jump!

Stella Im Hultberg’s show “The Insentient World” (teased) is opening tonight at Roq La Rue showing concurrently with Andrew Hem’s (interviewed) show.Â Her show will feature approximately six canvas paintings and six tea-stained paper pieces.Â She took a little time out from her busy schedule to work on a creative process feature for our readers focusing on one of her canvas works (12″ x 14″) entitled “Nobody and Everyone Else.”Â Take a look after the jump.

The exhibition of Takashi Murakami’s latest work (teased) at the Gagosian’s smaller London gallery on Davies Street opened last night to an enthusiastic crowd. Arrested Motion was on hand to check out the latest from this prolific artist and leader of the Superflat movement. It turned out to be a small show that will accompany the major exhibition at Bilbao’s Guggenheim.
