With just one sculptural installation dominating Gagosian’s 511 Fifth Avenue space in Manhattan, Urs Fischer makes a bold statement about the nature of life itself. Constructed with aluminum and standing more than 10 feet tall, the life-size rhinoceros seems to absorb an assortment of everyday objects like a rollaway luggage, copy machine, car door and tires, toilet, vacuum cleaner, shovel, and laptop.
