Last week, AM caught the opening night for the unveiling of Tomokazu Matusyama’s (featured) exclusive snow globe (available here) created with The Standard Hotel. Continuing a long line of quality artist collaborations with artists like Ryan McGinness, KAWS, and Jose Parla, this unique project takes Matsu’s iconic Running Deep series of paintings and miniaturizes them into unique sculptures. Earlier in the week, we watched Kaws’ iconic Passing Through Companion touch down in the front yard of The Standard Hotel after its little tour of Hong Kong and Connecticut. Today, AM was on hand to catch the arrival of the mother of all Kaws Companions (so far). This Passing Through Companion was hauled over from the backyard of the Aldrich Contemporary Museum, where it was last exhibited and dropped off in the front yard of The Standard Hotel in New York. Streets: Eric Haze x Standard Hotel (Los Angeles)

NY graf legend Eric Haze recently flew out to Los Angeles to participate in the MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibition, but being the busy bee he always is, he also took some time to put up some street work in the City of Angels.
