Basel Week ’16 / Openings: Wynwood Walls Exhibition

In addition to the new murals (covered) painted at Wynwood Walls for this year’s Basel Week Miami, Goldman Global Arts also opened an exhibition at the Garden House in the complex. The group show featured original paintings and sculptural works from many of the artists who have been involved with Wynwood Walls in the past. Release: El Mac – “Peyote Blossoms” Print

It’s hard to believe but the Peyote Blossoms print from El Mac is still available from Santo Press. The 13.5″ x 10.5″ image on 17.5″ x 13.5″ paper comes in an edition of 45 and costs $300. The beautiful six color relief print from photopolymer plate and multi-block linocut comes signed and numbered and can be purchased here. Discuss El Mac here.

Mode 2 opened a new exhibition, Preludes, at Galerie Openspace in Paris last Saturday. The title refers to those moments of heightened anticipation when waiting for something exceptional, like when a beat is about to drop or a B-boy is swaggering onto the stage. Upcoming: No Commission Art Fair (London)

Following the success of previous events in Miami in 2015 (covered) and New York in 2016 (covered), London will be the first European city to host immersive art and music event No Commission presented by The Dean Collection & Bacardi from December 8-10.
