Ryan McGinness x SPiN Standard Glow-Pong Table

Recently, Ryan McGinness unveiled a custom black light ping-pong table that he designed for SPiN Standard at The Standard, Downtown LA. The New York-based artist stuck true to his graphic style for this custom table, utilizing his trademark iconography and design aesthetics to convey a complex and poetic concept. Tag and Juice Gallery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently opened Preto e Branco (Black and White), a show by 2501 (Jacopo Ceccarelli) and Ozmo (Gionata Gesi) from Italy. Opened on 2nd of October, the title of the show comes from the main colors that both artists use when creating their work. For those who were busy over the weekend, here is a summary of the latest Banksy pieces for his Better Out Than In art residency in New York. On September 27th, Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) will be unveiling new sculptural installations in Hong Kong’s Time Square. Presented by LeBasse Projects, the large heads (see below) that look like the ones often seen in the LA-based artist’s work will be interacting with passer-bys in one of the busiest areas in Causeway Bay. Patrick Martinez for Playboy

Los Angeles-based artist Patrick Martinez was recently asked to work on a project for Playboy’s App. Taking his signature neon work and his urban aesthetic, he built four sets for Miss May 2010 Playmate Kassie Logsdon to interact with. Take a look at some stills and the video below, shot by photographer Jared Ryder, as the creative process was throughly explained by Martinez and footage from the shoot is revealed. Streets: Cyrcle. – “Capture The Flag!” @ Walk & Talk Festival (Azores Islands)

Recently, Los Angeles art collective Cyrcle. spent time in Portugal for their latest exhibition titled “Capture the Flag! : Conquer the Divide!” (covered). However, they also participated in the Walk & Talk Azores Festival,which featured a great variety of both Portuguese and international artists such as Vhils, El Tono, Nespoon and Topo.
