This Friday, March 5th the Carmichael Gallery is visiting the big apple for a collaboration project with Ogilvy & Mather and Jun Lee for a special Armory Week presentation of art’s emerging contemporary street artists. StolenSpace’s official start to 2010 has arrived in the shape of “Original Culture” featuring an Anglo-Italian line up of Ericailcane, DEM and Will Barras. In a continuing effort to increase European-Japanese artistic relations, the non-profit modern performing art organization, Original Cultures, has just released their latest project starring visual artists Will Barras (UK), Ericailcane (IT) and DEM (IT), as well as musical artists Om Unit (UK), Tatsuki (JP) and Tayone (IT). Over the course of four days last June in Bologna, these six artists collaborated, albeit separately, on the visual and musical aspects of this video. AM just got back from the opening of Green Day’s “The Art of Rock” show at London’s StolenSpace gallery (previewed), the night before the band starts a run of sold out dates on the UK leg of theÂ 21st Century Breakdown Tour. Logan Hicks (interviewed) curated the group show, which consisted ofÂ 18 pieces of art inspired by the lyrics of the new album. FAME Festival – A Tour Through the Monastery

After months of following the goings on at Italy’sÂ FAME Fest (see our coverage here), AM decided to take a trip to Grottaglie to find out if all those pieces were really as incredible as they appeared. Letâ€™s just say that we were far from disappointed. Studio Cromie just announced their lineup for “FAME Festival 2009,” an outdoor art event held from June through September in which street and contemporary artists from across the globe descend on Italy to create some spectacular murals across the city of Grottaglie.
