Streets: World Roundup (Sept 22 – Oct 12)

With this latest edition of our Streets: World Roundup article, we turn our eyes to Las Vegas for our featured mural from ROA. The Belgium-based artist withstood the desert heat for four days of hard work before completing this piece with the image of a horny toad, a local species that can squirt blood out of its eyes to deter predators. Painted for the Life Is Beautiful Festival, the wall can be found on Stewart and N. 6th Street. Other notable public art comes from […]

Streets: World Roundup (Aug 4 – Aug 24)

With the return of our Streets: World Roundup feature, we first want to bring your attention to a new mural from Blu in Sardinia, Italy. The wall he painted once again showed his skills with large-scale imagery while working around architectural features of his surface. Also, the upside down toy soldiers are consistent with the Italian street artist’s penchant for politically charged public works. Other worthy walls come from Ernest Zacharevic – US, Satone – Germany, Seth – Puerto Rico, Bordalo II – Portugal (source), […]

Projects: Sainer x Moneyless x Nawer x Zoer & Velvet for Boom Apartments

Four graffiti & street art artists from around Europe were recently invited to Krakow, Poland to work on a project named Boom Apartments. Sainer from the Etam Cru, Nawer from Poland, Moneyless from Italy, and Zoer & Velvet from France, got an apartment each to work on setting up. From painting indoor murals, to picking and arranging furniture, and designing the interior, each artist had an opportunity to turn each of the spaces into a unique work of art. Recently, the artists finished the 1st phase of the project, which is painting […]

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered). This time around, participating artists were again asked to contribute artwork in a 10 x 10″ format.  Along with pieces from over 100 artists (list seen below), Adam Friedman and Robert Minervini also created a site-specific installation featuring a series of paintings interspersed throughout mural elements. Roster: 2501, Adam Friedman, Adam Weir, Akiko Masker, Alex Lukas, Alicia Dubnyckyj, […]

Streets: World Roundup (Oct 21 – Oct 27)

This week’s Streets World Roundup is headlined by the latest piece from Banksy during his month long artist residency on the streets of New York. Painted on Day 28 of the project, this wall in Coney Island muses on what a robot would paint if he was to do graffiti. Take a look at other murals you may have missed from Mr. B earlier in the month here. Other notable walls come from ABOVE – Canada, Mark Jenkins – Germany, Mark Dean Veca – Los […]

Streets: London Instagram Roundup

It’s been a long while since the last Instagram Roundup from the streets of East London here on AM, so we thought it was about time we gathered some photos of what’s been happening over the last five months.  A favourite is definitely this great wall from Sweet Toof and Paul Insect, some wonderful painting by Conor Harrington, another visit from Sheffield artist Phlegm and new stabby women paste ups by Kid Acne and plenty more. There really is too much to talk about here, […]

Streets: London Instagram Roundup

Since the last London Street Art Roundup, Shoreditch has yet again been buzzing with activity. Much of this is due to Moniker Art Fair hitting Shoreditch for the second year running with a collection of artists around the globe filling the space of Village Underground. A highlight for AM has to be this great piece by Word to Mother (interviewed) on one of the panels outside the show which coincided with his solo show Essence of Adolescence at Stolen Space, alongside Australian duo Dabs Myla […]
