It looks like Barry McGee has begin his assault on New York by throwing up huge tags all over the mural space at the Houston and Bowery location we first told you about last week. Our friend, Ron English (featured), is about to put forth a new body of works for a pop-up gallery show in the middle of Soho with the help of Opera Gallery. This special show will open on Sunday, September 12th at 382 West Broadway and will run until October 29th. The Lady Aiko, who was recently in Los Angeles for the opening of her joint show “Vivid Fiction” (covered), lived for a week at The Standard in Hollywood. So, observant street art fans in New York must have noticed by now that Shepard Fairey’s much vandalized “These Parties Disgust Me” mural (done in conjunction with his “May Day” show at Deitch) has been covered with the scaffolding below rebuilt.
