Releases: Tauba Auerbach x Paulson Bott Press – “Etchings”

Rising star artist Tauba Auerbach has been working hard with the master printers at Paulson Bott Press to create five amazing new editions, which are scheduled to be released today. For these prints, Auerbach re-conceptualized the etching process of print-making, which basically entails an image being drawn onto a copper plate and then etched into the metal using acid. For Plate Distortions I, II and III, instead of drawing, Auerbach folded pieces of copper foil and then used those as the basis of the prints. […]

Openings: James Jean REBUS Release & Signing @ LACMA

This past weekend, LACMA celebrated the release of the book, REBUS, by artist James Jean’s (featured). Releases: Joe Ledbetter – 12″ Mutant Bunny (Hand Painted)

For those looking to round out their custom art figure collection, you’ll want to pay attention to this.  Joe Ledbetter is releasing a series of 40 hand-painted unique 12″ Mutant Bunny pieces (sculpted by Pretty in Plastic). Priced at $1500, the nicely sized pieces are priced reasonably considering what his customs go for on the market. In addition, the paint job seems to take to the resin better when compared to vinyl. Releases: Phlegm – “Illuminated Alphabet” Book

The newest zine that Phlegm had been hard at work at (first mentioned here) has finally been made available and what a beauty it is. The postcard size book is completely handmade and painstakingly silk-screened as each letter is illustrated in the UK-based street artist’s signature imagery. The edition size is 300 and priced shipped to UK addresses for £10 and anywhere outside the UK fro £11.50 (with a simple version slightly cheaper). More images after the jump…
