Streets: Faith47 – “La Petite Mort” Series (India)

While spending about a week in Panjim, India, Faith47 painted a series of works entitled La Petite Mort. Streets: Inter|Urban project (Cleveland)

Jasper Wong from POW! WOW! recently joined forces with Fred Bidwell from Transformer Station as curatorial team for the INTER|URBAN public arts program 2016. This original project is working on transforming Cleveland’s public transit rail system into a large-scale public art experience. Through artwork that can be enjoyed on their commute, this program seeks to challenge public transit riders emotionally and intellectually, while making physical and cultural connections to their surroundings. Streets: World Roundup (July 11 – July 31)

We end July this year with another Streets World Roundup, covering some of the public art from around the globe that you may have missed. Leading things off is a 600 meter mural Evoca1 painted in Abu Dhabi just in time for Eid al-Fitr. Streets: Pangeaseed – “Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans” (New Zealand) – Part II

After a look at some of the artists at work on their pieces for the Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans project sponsored by the PangeaSeed Foundation, here is a look at some select walls they painted. The muralists were invited in by the non-profit in Napier, New Zealand to create works to raise awareness for ocean environmental issues. PangeaSeed Foundation recently took off on another large expedition – accompanied by 29 international and local artists as they launched the newest edition of their Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans street art festival in Napier, New Zealand.
