The official opening of the Urban Nation Museum this weekend in Berlin turned the entire area into an open-air art gallery with an extensive program that included performances, workshops, show acts and more. Street: Herakut (Los Angeles)

Leading up to the opening of their solo show this weekend at Corey Helford Gallery, Herakut painted a new mural featuring their signature mix of photorealistic and abstract elements. The new piece on the side of the gallery was painted next something Ron English put up and you can definitely see that what they chose to paint was partially in reaction to that. Upcoming: Herakut – “Masters Of Wrong” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Looking forward to next month, German duo Herakut are opening a solo show at Corey Helford Gallery entitled Masters Of Wrong. Combining beautifully the raw and abstract forms of Hera (interviewed) with the photorealistic spray paint skills from Akut, the new work of course mirrors their thought-provoking imagery from the streets.
