The organizer of the Urban Forms Gallery project in Poland, Michael Biezynski, recently sent over some photos of the wall murals to share with our readers. It is rare to say that we enjoyed all the work from every artist that participates in various festivals or events, but in this rare case, we were quite impressed with what every artist created including some that we were not familiar with. A couple nights ago, the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) played host to the opening of De Dentro e De Fora or Inside Out Outside In, seemingly a repeated title for many recent street art exhibitions and videos in some variation or another. Although the name of the exhibition lacked originality, what was important (the art) more than made up for it. Currently showing in Morocco at the David Bloch Gallery is their summer group show, apparently part 3 of their Hall of Fame series. Of interest, among a group of international artists, is the inclusion of some artists we follow like Dave Kinsey, Augustine Kofie, and Remed. Getting up in the unlikely locale of Tennessee, Madrid-based REMED aka Guillaume Alby painted this mural for UrbanArt, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to development of public art in Memphis. Entitled Man & Woman Facing Each Other, the wall is a perfect example of the Spanish street artist’s organic geometry and lesser seen letter work. Located on Broad Avenue and commissioned by Loeb Properties, the large-scale piece features a man and woman reclining, facing each other. He is connected to the sun, and she to [...]

Brooklynite Gallery launches online shop

Bed Stuy’s one and only Brooklynite Gallery has just added an online shop to their Web site, which contains a nice selection of well-priced prints and originals by the likes of emerging artists Ben Frost (pictured above), Remed, ZBIOK and others.
