Kid Acne has a solo show opening on 31st March at London’s StolenSpace Gallery entitled Rhythm is a Dancer which we at AM have been anticipating for a while. He has been spending time between Paris and the UK of late where we’ve seen him pasting his series of Art Fags on the streets. Acne has recently returned to his UK base of Sheffield, where is has taken up a studio space to prepare a new body of work for the upcoming show.

We recently made the trip to South Yorks to meet up with the artist and poke around the studio for a while. First stop of the day was to survey the scene of the giant Art Fag mural he painted the night previous in the Carbrook area of Sheffield, then we walked across town checking out some other Sheffield street art including some more Acne pieces plus a new piece by Phlegm in order to get a view of the elevated mural from across town. Next up was the studio itself where we got a glimpse of the new work for the show coming together. Expect a large scale installation as well as more Art Fags and the sinuous hair texture pieces we’ve been seeing of late. If his exhibition last year at Concrete Hermit is anything to go by, then Rhythm is a Dancer will be well worth a look.

More pictures from the studio after the jump.
