Five years since his last solo, Sepe will be opening a London show at Lawrence Alkin Gallery on the 29th of May. The Golden Age Of Grotesque will include a total of 19 new works that Polish artist created especially for this event.
After years of being a straight-up graffiti artist then moving on to large murals, Sepe is these days successfully transferring his work onto canvas. Using the years of street work experience along with the skills he mastered at the Fine Arts Academy, his paintings often balance between abstract and illustrative. Mixing the energy and impulsive vibe of graffiti onto a smaller surface, he has developed a distinctive way to capture the dynamics of modern society. This is the theme of his upcoming show in which he will be showing works that are focused on the extinction of individuality.
