We’ve just received these images of participating artists adding the final touches for the works that will be presented at the Entre Muros group show opening on Thursday June 25th at Mya Gallery in London. Curated by author and editor of a number of publications, Maximilano Ruiz, the idea of this exhibition is to presents urban artists from Latin America.
Public art has always been one of the weapons used in many social and political events with the local streets becoming canvases. To this end, Latin America has always been a fertile ground for the growth of the movement. The regional specifics such as tradition, influences, or even the lack of most basic paints and materials, have resulted in some of the most distinctive styles and works seen on the streets these days. Having this in mind, the show introduces to London both known and new talents from every corner of Latin America: Curiot and Saner from Mexico, Rodrigo Branco and Rafael Hayashi from Brazil, Jaz, Doma and Elian from Argentina as well as Inti from Chilie and Alexis Diaz from Puerto Rico. Along with original artwork created exclusively for this event, on the day of the opening, an edition of 30 box sets with 12 handfinished prints each will be available for purchase.
