Pejac will be releasing a new limited edition on Friday 14th at 6PM CEST (12PM EDT) via his official website. Scattercrow is a lithograph featuring one of his earlier images (first painted back in 2010). For this release, the Barcelona-based artist picked the old-fashioned process of lithograph stone printing in order to achieve an as direct and as unchanged of a image reproduction. Painting directly on a limestone block, using traditional tools and chemicals, he once again created the image of a scarecrow that is dissolving into a flock of birds & crows. The image was previously introduced both as a street intervention and later as canvas, but with each version differing slightly. This particular iteration has accented brushwork and is more expressive, using the printing technique’s ability for creating a direct copy from an original. In order to complete the full traditional process, each copy of the edition was hand pulled on a manual printing press and will come with embossed stamp, as well as signed and numbered by the Spanish artist. Limited to only 80 pieces and measuring 103 x 72.5 cm (44.55 x 28.54 inches), each copy is accompanied with matching Certificate of Authenticity and will be available directly from his website at the appropriate time.
