After a successful third edition in Lisbon back in September, Festival Iminente will be coming back to London’s Old Truman Brewery for the second time between the 19th and 21st of October. Designed as a materialization of the creative movement and multicultural atmosphere that is flourishing in the Portuguese capital by founders and curators, Vhils and Underdogs Gallery, the festival aims to combine new music with new art.
One of the highlights of the recent event in Lisbon was the unannounced DJ set by legendary DJ, Fatboy Slim, who will this time be premiering his multimedia collaboration with Vhils in London. This cultural exchange that includes video and music was created during visits to each other’s studios in Lisbon and Brighton and continues the festival efforts to present the most innovative music and art from Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries.
Aside from a rich music program, Underdogs Gallery will open a pop-up shop in the Old Truman Brewery’s iconic Boiler House, presenting a showcase of unique pieces, prints, editions, and publications that reflect its work with a roster of international visual artists such as Vhils (PT) x Fatboy Slim (UK), Berru collective (PT), D*Face (UK), Phomer (PT), PichiAvo (ES), Robert Panda (PT), and The Empty Belly (PT).
