In preparation for his “Supply and Demand†retrospective exhibition moving to the Warhol Museum (teased), Shepard Fairey (featured) is already working the streets of Pittsburgh. These beautiful murals built by Shepard & crew are jaw-dropping to behold, that is if you’re lucky enough to bump into one. If you’re visiting the city for a day or two, it may be difficult to find time to hunt them down throughout the city. Now if only someone would take the time to create an urban â€star mapsâ€Â for art fans visiting the â€Steel Cityâ€â€¦…
Well, thanks to the efforts of our friends at the Warhol Museum, we can now bring you an interactive look at Shepard and the Obey crew’s urban renewal of “Steel City”. Check out this fantastic GoogleMaps overview (click here) of the locations which Shepard has rocked so far as we build up to his opening this weekend.
Look for AM to bring you full on-site coverage from this weekend’s opening. Until then check out the pics of the “renewed” streets of Pittsburgh after the jump.
Special thanks to the Warhol Museum and Renee Rosensteel
