Streets / Recap: Urban Nation // Project M/9 (Berlin)

Continuing their longstanding public arts program, Urban Nation in Berlin recently completed their ninth edition – Project M/9. Curated by JUSTKIDS and StreetArtNews, the event this time hosted Borondo (seen above), Fafi, Bicicleta Sem Freio, Askew, 1010, and Eron as they painted walls in the capital city with “Colors” as the theme. Streets: Urban Nation / Project M/8 – (Part II) – Maya Hayuk

After sharing the first set of photos from Urban Nation for the 8th phase (curated by StolenSpace) of their public arts program featuring Shepard Fairey, D*Face, Cyrcle., and Word To Mother painting four columns of a building, we now turn our attention to Maya Hayuk. For her part, the American artist worked amongst other murals painted before for the project, leaving her signature nterlocked stripes of color for her fans in Berlin to enjoy. As Urban Nation continues their strong public arts program with their 8th phase (Project M/8) entitled FREEDOM, our attention is drawn back to Berlin to see what a new set of artists have to offer. Recap: Urban Nation’s “Secret Dinner” Event

On the 22nd of February, Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin hosted a Secret Dinner event for friends, supporters, contributors and artists participating in their ongoing programs. Around 100 guests from around the globe attended the event organized by the museum director Yasha Young and Berliner Leben, a non-profit foundation that initiated the UN project in 2013. Last week, we brought you a look at some artists prepping for their window installations for the M/6 phase (curated by Jonathan LeVine) of the ongoing art program for Urban Nation.
