Streets: Invader (Ravenna)

After a summer series of works in his hometown of Paris, Invader has moved on to Italy to put up his next batch of work. The central Italian city of Ravenna is known for its superb Byzantine mosaics, so it is only natural that the French artist has chosen to increase his street activity there. This second invasion featured 15 new pieces with inspiration that ranged from the architecture, culture, and sights of the area. Discuss Invader here.

Rime Sues Moschino & Jeremy Scott Over Katy Perry’s Met Gala Dress

Like Maya Hayuk earlier this year, Joseph Tierney aka Rime has also filed suit for copyright infringement. The Brooklyn-based graffiti artist alleges that Moschino and its designer Jeremy Scott imitated a graffiti tag that he painted on a Detroit building for Katy Perry’s Met Gala dress. Not only did they allegedly take the VandalsEYES imagery and his signature without his permission but they also added the Moschino and Jeremy Scott brand names in a spray-paint style as if part of the original work. You be the judge. Discuss Rime […]
