Releases: Kaws x Undercover Bear Companion

Here are some new images of the collaboration release from Undercover with their classic “eye-censored” bear and Kaws’ companion figure.Â Sitting together, perhaps Mori Chack-style, the figure comes in white as well as black.Â Priced at about $135, look for the release on August 29th at Undercover locations across Japan and perhaps Original Fake as well. The ever-so talented, Seattle-based artist Scott Musgrove balances his time retracing forgotten animals of generations past and reincarnating those extinct creatures with masterful precision at the easel. For those hunkering for some Musgrove goodness before his 2010 solo show at Jonathan Levine, we have just the thing. A recently released Limited Edition Box Set of his newest book, entitled “The Late Fauna of Early North America,” gives life to the lost species of yesteryear in super swanky fashion. Audrey Kawasaki is releasing a limited edition print from her most recent show in Japan (covered) today. This amazing image titled: “Saying Goodbye” will be available today (8/22) at 3pm PST on Audrey’s website here. The edition size is a scarce 200 and will be available with or without the premium frame. The print measures 18″x22″ with a price of $220 (unframed) and $480 (framed). Brandi Milne recently put up these hand-crafter and hand-painted Humpty Dumpty plushes up for sale on her website.Â She states that she was inspired by “the character Humpty Dumpty and Alice In Wonderland’s Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum” when creating these.Â She is currently hard at work on her next solo show scheduled for June 2010. Sometime tomorrow, Kentucky-based gallery/print house The BLDG will be releasing a new silkscreen print by Brooklyn artist Matt Haber, who is currently participating in Jonathan LeVine Gallery’s summer group show Beach Blanket Bingo (covered). The 15.5″ x 20″, 9-color, handpulled print, entitled Sniper, is an edition of 100 and will be priced at $125. Available here.

Artist Ana Bagayan recently released two new giclee prints.Â The first one is a special charity fundraiser print entitled ”Prey” (above), with 100% of the profits going towards funding Ana’sÂ Lunch Bunch project (Each copy of ”Prey” is just $25, and the funds raised from each sale will feed 12 people). AnaÂ recently started off making and distributing home-made lunch packs for the homeless of Los Angeles. AM has just received information on the release of KAWS‘ Gray 4FT Dissected Companion, the second in his series of towering, anatomically exposed vinyl creations. Not for the faint of heart or the spatially deprived, these monsters will be set loose at the end of the month to those lucky few OriginalFake account holders. AM enjoyed the screening of the art film “Scribble.08” and coinciding art show alongside artists James Jean (interviewed), Tim Biskup, Jeff Soto (interviewed), Bwana Spoons, Mari Inukai and the rest of the crowd held at Wonderhaus during Comic-Con 2009.
