Last night, AM stopped by the spacious Lazarides popup gallery in Beverly Hills to take in the four-person show of Vhils, JR, Conor Harrington (interviewed), and Micallef (interviewed). Dubbed “Eurotrash,” the impressive grouping had ample room to each bring a full body of work for all to enjoy. After great shows in San Francisco (covered) and New York (covered), it’s about time that master sculptor Kris Kuksi flexes his muscles across the ocean. Joshua Liner Gallery will host Kris Kuski’s latest body of work to be exhibited at Scope Art Fair at this year’s Basel Week in Switzerland. The first stop of the Culver City Artwalk for AM was the group show at LeBasse Projects. Along with a strong lineup of gallery regulars, artists new to us such as Jean-Pierre Roy were featured during this annual event. His colorful paintings of imaginary landscapes drew us in with their dream-like vibrancy and fancy. More pics after the jump…

The brand spanking new Hurley )( Space Gallery opens its doors this weekend in Costa Mesa, Ca. Long time supporters of the arts, Hurley have appointed Annie Adjchavanich, past director of Billy Shire Fine Arts, as the gallery’s curator. Last night, AM attended the opening of “The New Grand Tour” at the fresh gallery space of Bryce Wolkowitz (previewed). With a lineup of Deanne Cheuk, Jose Parla, Rey Parla, Davi Russo, Romon Kimin Yang (Rostarr) and Suitman a.k.a. Young Kim, it was not hard to see why the Chelsea space was packed to the brim with art lovers.
