Artist, talented illustrator, and toy mogul James Jarvis recently released this amazing video he created with animator Richard Kenworthy in collaboration with Nike. Entitled “Onwards,” the video follows one of Jarvis’ famous characters on his adventure as he runs through an ever changing landscape.Â Jarvis answered some questions about this project in a short interview with us after the jump…

Viewpoints: Murakami, MOCA & Louis Vuitton Sued by Disgruntled Speculator

Last summer, the MOCA was sued by a disgruntled speculator, Clint Arthur, over the sale of some lithographic prints from Takashi Murakami’s retrospective. Arthur’s initial suit alleged that without proper documentation, the prints were just overpriced posters and the museum was misleading customers. The judge quickly dismissed the charges of fraud in the initial case. Our friends over at Nucleus Gallery just sent over some more preview pics from their street fighter tribute show opening this Saturday, April 25 including this gem from Luke Chueh entitled “‘Hyakuretsukyaku (Lightening Kick).” With many of us spending countless hours of our youth perfecting the moves for our favorite fighters, this show will definitely be nostalgic. Buy low, sell high… guess Steve Lazarides sees the recent economic downturnÂ as an opportunity to make some moves. The marquee urban art gallery from London has been busy in 2009. Last month Laz transformed their Greek street location into a shop with a more accessible price point and stocked it with plenty of quality artwork underÂ Â£5,000. Jeff Koons/LACMA Train x Crane Project

When news came out about the $25 million sculpture that LACMA commissioned Jeff Koons to do, we were a little underwhelmed by the idea. A life-size replica of a locomotive dangling from a crane sounded impressive enough but what does it all mean? After watching the Koons studio visit video last week, we realized that the train was going to be motorized (check the 1:04 mark) which makes it a little more interesting but we’re not sure if it’s the best use of $25 million.

Old school London mainstay Andipa Gallery is going to the streets and holding an exhibition of Banksy’s rare works on canvas. Guess it’s time the old money flexed it’s muscles and showcased some choice secondary market pieces from one of United Kingdom’s finest. A veritable gem amongst gems is the ginormous “Are You Using That Chair?” measuring over 7 x 14′. This is by far the largest canvas that we’ve seen from Banksy. Releases: Bronze Pollard – Tim Biskup

Tim Biskup has been teasing his collectors with new images of his 7″ Bronze Pollard on his blog.Â We like the new faceted look which mirrors the evolution of style in his paintings.Â The figure will be produced with an edition of 44 and will be stamped and initialed on the feet. With his previous bronze release, the 2″ Iki, costing about $300, fans had better start saving now for the June release. More images after the jump.
