London based abstract artist O.Two is currently in France painting a commissioned wall at a large concert venue in La Rochelle and he sent us along a few progress pictures of the piece coming together. The mural combines his typographically inclined abstract stylings with figurative elements – somewhat of a first for him. Right on the heals of a successful opening of his solo in Los Angeles (covered), KAWS has returned for a second engagement at Harbour City in Hong Kong. The star of the event was a new sculptural installation featuring a cluster of his signature companion figures entitled Clean Slate, situated in the Ocean Terminal forecourt where his previous massive Passing Through companion could be seen back in 2010 (covered). Releases: Conor Harrington – “Unveiling” Print

Tomorrow, September 17th, at 16:00 BST, Conor Harrington (interviewed) will be releasing a new print through The Outsiders. Entitled Unveiling, the new image is taken from a new painting for his popup show opening on September 27th in New York at a still undisclosed location. Moniker Projects and Create teamed up a couple of months ago for Living Walls, a public arts programme for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The main idea behind this complex project was to create and cover aprox 2.5 km of the fence around the park with world class street art and installations. StolenSpace Gallery is opening the new season in London with two concurrent solo shows from Australian artists based in Berlin – Reka (seen above) with a body of work entitled Trip The Light and paintings from Two One’s collectively named Hunted Hunter’s Head. Reka’s fresh paintings are inspired by his mother, who was a ballerina. His brushstrokes reflect the graceful movements of a female dancer though a monochromatic palette. Last night, the Honor Fraser Gallery hosted the highly anticipated return (covered) of Brian Donnelly (aka KAWS) to Los Angeles with a show entitled Man’s Best Friend. As implied by the title, Snoopy, along with a cast of familiar characters from Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts series were the focus of the Brooklyn-based artist’s imagery. UK-based artist Phlegm has just finished an outdoor installation (which will be on display until September 28) at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.
