Streets: JR (New York)

After a series of inspiring murals with Jose Parla in Cuba as part of his ever-expanding Wrinkles Of The City project and a TED Talk on the one year anniversary of his wish to turn the world Inside Out, JR has returned to New York for a new large-scale mural. Set next to the popular pedestrian walkway, The High Line, the piece took several days to complete and will be testament to the French photograffeur’s skills in a high-traffic location. Streets: Vhils (Lisbon)

After putting a new piece up at the revolving mural project Le M.U.R in Paris (covered), Vhils headed home to work on another wall in Lisbon. ArtPadSF ’12 – “Highlights”

ArtPadSF hosted its second annual boutique art fair over the weekend, which coincides with ArtMrkt and SFFAF. Unlike your traditional art fair with booths, this one takes over the Phoenix Hotel in the heart of the Tenderloin District in San Francisco with each gallery taking up their own room in the hotel, which gives a more laid-back pop-up gallery vibe. Dedicated to making his art accessible to all his fans regardless of their economic status,  SABER (interviewed) has just released a set of flag lino prints priced affordably on his webstore. Available in red, green, and blue, the 6″ x 8″ editions are limited to 50 each and despite their price ($85), each hand finished.
