For our summary of the street murals for the last week of 2011, we turn our attention to the work of Mentalgassi for a project with Amnesty International. You may remember last year when the German street collective brought attention to the plight of Troy Davis with a similar lenticular street piece. Well, this year they have expanded the series to include six individuals who have suffered human rights abuses placed in 26 locations across 6 European cities. Here is a roundup of the street murals after a Christmas weekend. On that note, we start with this new install in Brussels by Isaac Cordal. To start off our summary of walls this week, we get news that Ludo has been in Paris getting some new fake xray ads like this piece with a hand skeleton seen inside a mosquito. Other walls seen after the jump include a collaboration between Remi/Rough and LX One (Miami), Ethos (Sydney), Liqen (Mexico), Know Hope (Miami), Ever (Miami), Kid Zoom (Australia), Anthony Lister (Australia), Agostino (Italy), Merge Invisible (Hungary), and 2-Hands (Portugal).

It’s the end of the week and again time for a summary of walls in our roundup. The beautiful piece you see above is from Aryz in Lisbon that was sponsored by the Montana Shop & Gallery. It appears that he also opened a small show there after just opening another show a couple weeks before in Spain (covered). This week’s world roundup of street work is heavily tilted towards Art Basel Week Miami. With so many artists in town, there was bound to be some overlap on walls and in some cases – collaborations. Not sure if the Buff Monster & COPE2 piece above was planned as a tag team effort, but they seem to fit nicely together. This newest piece is from the UK-based Eine who used some borrowed paint from ABOVE for this piece.
