Howard Griffin Gallery is currently presenting an exhibition and sculptural installation by Giacomo Bufarini a.k.a. RUN entitled Parabola di G. The London-based artist began painting murals on abandoned walls in Bologna and Florence in the 1990s under the pseudonym ‘RUN’ and his signature characters with interlocking hands and faces can be found from China to Senegal. Pejac For Sushisamba Restaurant (London)

We recently received these exclusive shots of Pejac working on an indoor mural in London. Titled Entelequia (entelechy), this beautiful symbolic piece was commissioned by the Sushisamba restaurant for their Heron Tower private entrance. the new image mixes elements of his previous work – cherry blossom flowers from his recent image and sold out print release Sepukku (covered), with a girl on a swing, one of the images he used to paint on windows. WK Interact recently launched his latest publication entitled WK/Act 4. This book houses works from 1989 to the present day and spans 25 years of the French born/Brooklyn based artist’s storied career. Laboratório de Actividades Criativas in Lagos, Portgual, is currently has an group exhibition on view which resulted after their ARTURb 2014 project. Streets: Tom Fruin’s Stained Glass House @ Brooklyn Bridge Park

As a followup to his stained glass watchtower in 2012 (covered), Tom Fruin created a new installation last month at the Brooklyn Bridge Park for the Dumbo Arts Festival. Entitled Kolonihavehus, the house created from plexiglass was a hit with visitors during the day and at night, although it was particularly stunning lit up once the sun went down. Temporarily inhabited by duo CoreAct, attendees of the event were able to see the art structure enhanced by a collaborative physical performance. Via Colossal.

Openings: D*Face – “Scars & Stripes” (Los Angeles)

Over the weekend, AM headed out to Los Angeles to check out a solo from D*Face (interviewed) at a popup location in West Hollywood (315 S. Robertson Blvd). Greeted by an installation featuring a giant D*Dog sculpture crushing a police cruiser with full on smoke, fans were hyped up to enter the gallery space to take in a new body work from the British street artist. Phlegm – Market Traders Installation (Sheffield)

After putting together an elaborate installation and mural for the Royal Opera House in London (covered), Phlegm used a similar technique for a project further up north. The site-specific work was created in his home city at the Sheffield Bazaar as part of the Festival of the Mind. Housed in one of the oldest parts of the city, the scene set up shows Phlegm’s characters interacting in an old school marketplace setting. Check out more detail shots below… Photo credit: Ladoza.
