Last month, we mentioned that James Jarvis (interviewed) would be signing his new book, De Profundis, at The Standard Shop in New York. Now we have some photos of the site-specific painting the British illustrator created on the shop’s windows as well as some of the works he produced for the showing. More after the jump…

Earlier this fall, artist MODE 2 debuted a solid body of work entitled Offerings in Berlin’s Lucas Carrieri Gallery. The hardworking Parisian street artist is known for his distinctive and provocative style, and was able to take some time to share his thoughts with AM with in a candid and detailed interview conducted by Zaza Weissgerber. KRINK @ Loft in Space

Several weeks ago, Loft in Space in Hawaii hosted a show from Craig Costello with new site-specific paintings and sculptures. Anthony Lister – “Bogan Paradise” @ Gallery A.S.

Prolific Aussie artist Anthony Lister (interviewed) recently put on a show with Gallery A.S. entitled Bogan Paradise. After plastering Los Angeles with his work in August, this new show in his home country is staged in a recently de-zoned sex shop in Sydney’s Chinatown and challenges conceptions of the Australian identity – those attributes perceived as both positive and negative. In particular, Lister explores Larrikinism, “the name given to the Australian folk tradition of irreverence, mockery of authority and disregard for rigid norms of propriety.” More photos via Slamxhype after the […]

This neat little project from Geoff McFetridge, whose work we last ogled at in his solo show in Copenhagen, was brought to our attention recently. The LA-based artist just opened an exhibition at the renowned Heath Ceramics in Los Angeles featuring his paintings on the walls and some special ceramic products, many of which are one of a kind. Mars-1 opened up his show, Everything Under The Sun (previewed) to a packed house at Fecal Face Dot Gallery’s temporary space in the inner Richmond area of San Francisco Saturday night (the gallery’s usual spot is under renovation due to a fire at a neighboring building). The show included a few large scale paintings, including a tondo continuing his eye boggling Infinite Tapestry series. If you remember back in July, Belgium street phenomena, ROA, had a showing at the Skalitzers in Berlin. Now the good people at that gallery have arranged a show (which opened last night “down under”) for him at the FORM Gallery in Perth entitled Paradox. Like with his participation in the Wide Open Walls project in Gambia, ROA worked in some easily recognizable local creatures that are unique due to Australia’s long geographic isolation.
