After providing you with a sneak peak setup look at Jacob Hashimoto’s MOCA Pacific Design Center installation, we are happy to be able to share images of the finished Gas Giant exhibition. The massive work seemingly alters the cube-like interior space of the PDC venue into a immersive, sublime, and otherworldly experience. After leaving his mark all over the globe, from wooden sheds in Brazilian rain forest (covered) to large warehouses in Hawaii (covered), Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is opening a museum solo in his homeland. This Friday night, the newly renovated Ace Hotel in Los Angeles will be hosting a screening of Takashi Murakami’s debut movie Jellyfish Eyes. The live-action feature film, the origins of which Murakami dreamt up over 10 years ago, will be shown at the historic theatre at the downtown hotel. It looks like there are tickets still available, including the premium package which includes the official Jellyfish Eyes book and a limited edition new sculpture produced by the artist for this event only. Streets: Asphalte Festival (Belgium)

The city of Charleroi in Belgium was the host for the first edition of the Asphalte Urban Art Biennial. Taking place from the beginning of May till the end of October, this event includes theatrical programming, dance and academic programs, concerts, as well as urban and street art projects.
