Releases: Joe Ledbetter – “Astro Zombie Bunny” Figure

After releasing large scale versions of his most iconic character and creating one off customs (here, here, and here), Joe Ledbetter has slowly been releasing production versions of his beloved bunny. The latest in his line of Chaos Bunnies is the Astro Zombie Bunny, set for release at the fast approaching SDCC. Produced by The Loyal Subjects, the new figure will be limited a run of 300 and first be released at their booth (#5645), then online. Discuss Joe Ledbetter here.

Upcoming: Ekundayo for “Reflections of a New Generation” @ Thinkspace Gallery

On July 13th, the Thinkspace Gallery will be hosting the opening for a three-person show from Ekundayo (interviewed), Adam Caldwell, and Joram Roukes entitled Reflections of a New Generation. For his part, the LA-based Ekundayo has been hard at work in the studio creating new paintings for the show featuring his grotesque and surreal characters. Upcoming: “Takashi in Superflat Wonderland” @ Plateau, Samsung Museum of Art

Today in South Korea, Takashi Murakami opened a new exhibition at Plateau, Samsung Museum of Art featuring over 40 of his artworks. Takashi in Superflat Wonderland will include recent works, but is also a retrospective, and puts the core “Superflat” philosophy behind his art on display.
