AM has been following the artists interviews our friends over at Fecal Face (SF’s definitive art portal for those who don’t know) have been posting up this month in regards to a monster show coming up in September. Release Party: Poster Boy – “The War of Art” @ Carmichael Gallery

One of the few street artists out there who have earned their stripes, Poster Boy, meeting at least one of Saber’s criteria for street cred, has been released from prison and in return, will be releasing his first monograph – “The War of Art”. Openings: Bäst – “Botulism” @ Lazarides Gallery

Lazarides’ latest exhibition at their Rathbone Place space opened on the 20th of August and showcased a solo exhibition by legendary Brooklyn artist Bäst. On show are a series of large scale works on canvas, paper and wood, along with several sculptural pieces, which sees the artist revisit and expand upon themes and styles he has been experimenting with for many years. AM stopped by again at the Park Avenue Armory to check up on the progress of Yoshitomo Nara and YNG/graf during this week’s “Open Studio” session. This time, we got to take full pictures detailing some of the amazing strides made in the past two days since we last visited the crew. Dave Kinsey will be making his return to New York City next month with a new body of works at the Joshua Liner Gallery. Nick Walker (interviewed) will return to his home country of the UK to unveil a new exhibition “In Gods We Trust”. His latest solo since his sold-out exhibition at Black Rat Press (covered) will deal with the theme that explores the turbulent religious and political landscapes that surround us today.
