Last weekend, a new collection of works from Jose Parla was unveiled at Brand New Gallery in Milan entitled Mirrors. The fresh pieces featured less prominent roles for the his signature script and instead had a more collage feel to them through the incorporation of parts of posters ripped off the walls of Milan, Rome, Napoli, Matera, Bari, Lecce and Bologna. Showing: Yoshitomo Nara – “For Better Or Worse” @ Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

Showing through this weekend at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art is a retrospective of Yoshitomo Nara’s career spanning 30 years. Entitled For Better Or Worse, the exhibition includes wide range of work including installations, paintings, sculptures, and drawings. As stated by the museum – “‘For better or for worse’ is a wedding vow: a lifetime commitment from one person to another. Releases: Audrey Kawasaki – “Enchantress” Print

Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) recently announced a new open edition she has made available through Static Medium. Entitled Enchantress (image taken from a painting from her show last year in LA), the print is sized at 18″ x 18″ and comes unframed ($90) or framed ($260). Currently at the Riverside Art Museum, Jeff Soto (interviewed) has a show on view featuring his screen-printed gig posters and fine art prints from the last 15 years.
