Teaser: Damien Hirst – “Cornucopia” @ Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

Damien Hirst is heading up the centenary celebration for the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco with his latest “Cornucopia” exhibition. Much like his recent Gagosian Gallery show in NYC (covered), this installment will feature 60 works that span the major points of his illustrious career. From butterflies, medicinal cabinets, spot & spin paintings, and formaldehyde glass tanks, museum goers in the exclusive city of Monaco will be able to experience the brand of art only the YBA artist can produce. Teaser: “Tiger Tiger Burning Bright” Group Show @ Roq La Rue

Update: Shepard Fairey – May Day @ Deitch Projects

Looks like more information is coming out about the upcoming Shepard Fairey show at Deitch Projects (teased). Mario Martinez aka Mars-1, whom we last saw at his Billy Shire show last May, will be opening up a new show at the Meta Gallery in Toronto next Friday, April 2nd. Another talented group of artists will be participating in a group show next month entitled “Visionary Art”. The exhibition, held in Italy’s Mondo Bizarro Gallery will include Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured), Laurie Lipton, Dan Quintana, Naoto Hattori and Mike Davis. Teaser: FAME Festival 2010

Studiocromie has released a tentative lineup to their 2010’s FAME Festival, the annual outdoor art event where urban and contemporary artists visit the streets of Grottaglie to create tremendous murals and installations (See last years coverage). Following Jeremy Fish’s inaugural stop on his “The Road Less Traveled” Tour at OK Mountain Gallery in Austin and subsequent print release (covered), the man behind Superfishal and Silly Pink Bunnies has landed in Denver for his upcoming show at Andenken Gallery.
