Leading off this week’s summary of videos is this time-lapse (via Savage Habit) from the Volvo Switzerland as seven Chinese artists paint and repaint the new Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid. Jen Stark for “40 Under 40: Craft Futures” @ Smithsonian

Expert paper sculpture artisan Jen Stark recently had one of her pieces acquired by the Smithsonian American Art Museum for their permanent collection. The psychedelic multicolored piece which looks like it is dripping down the wall is entitled Power of Being and is part of the 40 Under 40: Craft Futures exhibition currently underway at the Renwick Gallery part of the institution which also includes a piece from Olek (mentioned earlier). Streets: Shepard Fairey – “Rise Above Rebel Woman” (Paris)

Shepard Fairey (featured) and the OBEY crew were recently in Paris for a new mural put together by the Mairie of 13th district, Mehdi from Galerie Itinerrance and Butterfly. The piece was part of a unfunded regeneration project of the area, called Street Art 13, which given has huge walls to many international artists.
