Currently in in town for Basel Week Miami, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) is in the process of painting a pretty sweet mural at the Hotel of South Beach. Already at it for the last 5 days, the Los Angeles-based artist hopes to complete the wall featuring one of her seductive females by tomorrow. Tomorrow (December 2nd) in London, Lazarides will be opening a Banksy Print Gallery at the Mondrian Hotel. Specializing in selling limited editions from the infamous street artist on the secondary market, the space in South Bank will also feature a collection of photographs as well as ephemera from that period of time. Those who walked by the Pace Prints booth at Art Basel Miami Beach (covered) may have been surprised to see a new print available from KAWS. Entitled PIRANHAS WHEN YOU’RE SLEEPING, the image is taken from a piece the Brooklyn-based artist painted for a show back in 2014 in the Caribbean (covered).
