Upcoming: POW! WOW! Long Beach 2016

Back for a second year, POW! WOW! Long Beach 2016 will be kicking off soon, running from July 11-17. Releases: Cleon Peterson x Modernica Daybed

On July 14th, Modernica will be releasing a daybed they designed with Cleon Peterson. Limited to an edition of 100, each one will be signed and numbered by the artist known for his brutal and provocative imagery. Releases: AEC – “Falling In Love or Sixth Sense of Pedro” Print

Jonathan LeVine Gallery just released a new print from AEC of Interesni Kazki (interviewed) entitled Falling In Love or Sixth Sense of Pedro. The image is taken from one of the paintings from their show at the gallery earlier this year (covered) and features the surrealistic imagery the duo are known for. Releases: KAWS x Nancy Gonzalez Handbag Collection

Last week, KAWS announced his latest project, a collaboration with Nancy Gonzalez on a handbag collection. Continuing his foray into the fashion world (also see Uniqlo & Mira Mikati), the Brooklyn-based artist lent his iconic double x’s to the Colombian designer known for her handbags of exotic leathers and brightly colored hues. Releases: Eddie Martinez x Case Studyo – “Untitled” Handwoven Rug

Tomorrow at noon on their website, Case Studyo will be releasing a handwoven woolen rug based on one of Eddie Martinez’s paintings from 2015. Produced in an edition 12 + 4 AP, the tapestry is sized at 210 cm x 140 cm and comes with a signed and numbered certificate by the artist. Streets: Rustam Qbic (Ravenna)

Moving a lot around Europe lately, Rustam Qbic recently visited the Italian city of Ravenna where he painted his contribution to the Subsidenze Street Art Festival. Working three long days in the warm Italian sun, the Kazan artist quickly finished this new piece titled Immigration. Measuring 15m x 5m, this wall is a nice example of the symbolic surrealistic images that Qbic has been painting around the globe.
