Over the weekend, an exhibition to benefit CAMP2E opened at the Soze Gallery entitled Steer Ahead. Artists like Dave Kinsey (seen above), Victor Castillo, Cyrcle., Devngosha, James Haunt, Brittany Segal, Dan Quintana, Bon Nielsen, Gregory Siff, Aaron De La Cruz, Paige Smith, Kristin Bauer, RETNA, Sarah Sandin, Aaron De la Cruz, Bone Thrower, Cole Sternberg, and Fidia Falaschetti were asked to customize and paint real steer skulls and display it along with original artwork. Coming up on May 17th, a group show curated by Andrew Hosner of Thinkspace will open in Berlin as part of Project M/4 (also see M/3) with Urban Nation. Over the weekend, the Known Gallery in Los Angeles hosted the opening for an exhibition from Dennis Morris, a UK-based photographer especially known for his work in the music industry. This particular showing focuses on his iconic shots of Bob Marley, a seminal period of time in his young career when he toured with the Jamaican singer-songwriter. Openings: Greg Eason – “Four Fish of the Apocalypse” @ Breeze Block Gallery

Earlier this month, the Breeze Block Gallery welcomed in several artists to display their works at the Portland showspace. One of these was the London-based Greg Eason, who made the trip over personally to present his detailed graphite drawings. The series of works were collectively entitled Four Fish of the Apocalypse, and use carefully selected images to illustrate his version of some of the Book of Revelation (Chapter 6 of the King James Bible).
