Futura x Sprite for NBA All Star Weekend

New York graffiti legend Futura recently teamed up with Sprite to create three custom basketballs for the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend. Two of them feature his iconic atomic imagery and pointman characters, and the last is inspired by LeBron James. Each one will be auctioned off after the All-Star weekend, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of America. Tonight (February 6th), the Breeze Block Gallery in Portland will be presenting new work from Canadian artist Tristram Lansdowne (interviewed), along with Erin Murray in a two-person show. Entitled Order Of Operations, the exhibition will highlight Lansdowne’s architectural forms that appear to be in harmony with the natural landscapes they are found in as well as Murray’s buildings and structures rendered on shaped panels. One of the booths we were excited to see at the NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) art fair during Art Basel Week was by New York Collective The Still House Group. Interestingly enough when we arrived, all we found was a cryptic Xerox copy machine asking us to press the button.
