Video: Agents Of Change 0.3

Remember the huge wall installation that Agents of Change put together in Manchester last month? Well, the interesting trailer that AoC put together directly after the painting event, which they coincidentally live streamed via their website, has now been turned into a finished film. Each of the Agents – LXOne, Derm, Remi/Rough, System, Juice 126, Steve More and Timid took a section of the mural and incorporated their own individual stylings into the larger composition, created as part of the Future Everything Festival.

Update: Scott Radke

  It looks like Scott Radke (interviewed) has taken time from his busy schedule recently to sculpt this new piece with his signature mix of the the whimsical yet grotesque. He also recently worked on some marionettes for the Alice in Wonderland movie as well as creating a cluster of pieces for the Thinkspace “Picks of the Harvest” show (covered) during the Culver City artwalk. Streets: Vermin & Jago – Moon Street Mural

We were impressed by this recent collaborative mural on Moon Street in Bristol, put together by Mr Jago and Vermin when we saw these pictures of the wall coming together from Mike Dring of Art-El. The two artists had not met before the planned day of painting, but they seemed to hit things off with this well composed and cohesive piece, which blends their styles with great effect – just check out some of the 3D details they achieved. A new gallery in Melbourne is opening this month (June 25th) with the inaugural show featuring one of the co-owners – Meggs. Lisbon based street artist, Pedro Matos recently opened up his solo show at the Montana Shop & Gallery.  “Reality Show” featured several paintings, installations, wall murals, and what looked to be a enthusiastic crowd. Releases: Aaron Horkey’s Letterpress Series

Hi-Fructose recently gave us a peek at the new Aaron Horkey release, dropping early tomorrow (Friday, June 18th) through Dead Arts Publishing. Consisting of three older images in their original black and white format, as well as a new chess themed print, “The Rook”, the set is printed exclusively as letterpress editions and looks to have all the bells and whistles that we saw for his last Dead Man release. Openings: Art Shack @ Laguna Art Museum

Last weekend, the Laguna Art Museum opened their doors to crowds of art fans anxious to check out the newest exhibition – Art Shack. The group show included installations by artists like Mike Shine (featured), Martin Wittfooth, Kenny Scharf, Clayton Brothers (featured), and Jeff Gillette (who showed recently in LA) with a fantastic three-dimensional representation of his signature “slum” imagery.
