Showing: Agents of Change – ‘Unfolding’ @ David Bloch Gallery

International art collective Agents of Change recently opened a group showing at David Bloch Gallery in Marrakech. Entitled Unfolding, the showing brought together Steve More, Derm, Carlos Mare, LX One, Remi Rough and Jaybo. The AoC cast is ever expanding and contains different styles of art brought in by the widely cast influences of the collective group. Unfolding focuses of just six of the whole twelve, and hones down on some of the more angular, geometrically inspired members of the collective. Painting, collage and sculpture combine within […]

Streets: London’s largest mural by Agents of Change

With the sun shining and scaffolding removed, wraps have come off London’s largest graffiti mural, covering two sides of a six-storey building in King’s Cross. Members of the Agents of Change crew with London based Remi/Rough, Edinburgh’s Steve More, LX.One from Paris, LA-based Augustine Kofie created this colourful geometrical artwork using over 500 litres of spray paint. Openings: Steve More & Remi/Rough – ‘A’ @ Blackall Studios

Remi/Rough and Steve More opened their dual exhibition A last night to a full house at Blackall Studios. AM went along to see the work for ourselves. The two artists have been friends for years since they wrote graffiti together in the 80’s/90’s. They live and work at polar opposite ends of the UK – Rough in South London and More in Edinburgh, and work both individually and also as collaborators within the Agents of Change collective, whose British contingent came from the four corners […]

Preview: ‘A’ – Steve More & Remi/Rough @ Blackall Studios, London

AM recently brought you a view from both Steve More and Remi/Rough’s respective studios here and here in the run up to their collaborative exhibition entitled A, which opens on Tuesday 1st February at London’s Blackall Studios, and we thought it would be apt to bring a reminder of the show with a preview of a few of the works from each of the artists. A is an entirely self funded affair, and and you can read some of Remi’s thoughts on putting such an […]

Studio Visit: Remi/Rough

Continuing on from our look into Steve More’s Edinburgh studio, AM now brings you a peek into the bottom-of-the-garden studio of Remi/Rough. The artistic pairing of Agents of Change collaborators Rough and More are realised in the upcoming exhibition entitled ‘A’, opening on Tuesday 1st February at Blackall Studios in London. Remi works out of a purpose built log cabin style studio located in deepest, darkest East Dulwich. He paints using the natural light of daytime, and the immediate connection you make when visiting the […]

Studio Visit: Steve More

In anticipation of his upcoming two person exhibition with Remi/Rough, AM brings you a view from the studio of Edinburgh based artist Steve More. More’s heritage as a graffiti writer dates back to the mid 80’s when his elaborately styled letter based pieces started to go up under the name of OneMor. He was part of Edinburgh based crew Fallen Angelz and then relocated to London for a number of years ahead of moving to New Zealand in 2003. In 2010, he returned to the […]

Streets: LX One & Remi/Rough in Strasbourg

Two parts of the Agents of Change collective – LX One and Remi/Rough – were recently in Strasbourg to paint a large wall as part of the 10th anniversary party for French-cool store RZO. The combination of Remi’s abstract work alongside LX’s geometric patterns caught our eyes when we saw some photos of the work like the one above. AM asked Remi about the trip and he sent us a mini-travelogue. Check it out along with some more flicks from LX One after the jump.

Video: Agents Of Change 0.3

Remember the huge wall installation that Agents of Change put together in Manchester last month? Well, the interesting trailer that AoC put together directly after the painting event, which they coincidentally live streamed via their website, has now been turned into a finished film. Each of the Agents – LXOne, Derm, Remi/Rough, System, Juice 126, Steve More and Timid took a section of the mural and incorporated their own individual stylings into the larger composition, created as part of the Future Everything Festival.

Live Painting: Jaybo, Remi/Rough & Juice 126 in London

This Thursday night in London sees Jaybo, also known as Monk, brings his first “ProjectRoom” live painting event to London. Read on for details of Remi & Jaybo’s joint […]
