Earlier this month in Belgium, the third iteration of the The Crystal Ship art festival (also see 2016 & 2017) welcomed in an international roster of artists to create murals and art installations in the coastal city of Ostend. One of the standout walls comes from Sainer (featured) of the Etam Cru entitled Podkarpacie, a painterly piece which appears to be named after a province in Poland. The stunning mural highlights Sainer’s skills when playing with soft focus and perspective, while working with a muted palette. We’ll have a recap […]

We’ve already reported on some of the murals created on the streets of Ostend in Belgium as a part of the second edition of The Crystal Ship festival that took place last week. With all the pieces being officially finished and signed by the artists, we’re bringing one final look at this year’s works. Its arrival at Oostend’s Montgomery Dock is a continuation of the artists’ efforts to raise awareness about […]
Recently during the Rock Werchter Festival of Belgium, Deih was invited to paint some stacked metal storage containers for the North West Walls event. Working well with the unique painting surface, the Spanish street artist chose to create some of his signature otherworldly comic-inspired imagery with an upside down character. He further explains his piece – “We, humans, only can watch at Cosmos’ face trapped by our limit´s perception. We will follow trying to understand it although I think we are not able to think […]
With numerous street art/mural festivals being organized around the world, with the idea of bringing the finest street art to city centers and beautifying the urban area, Google recently took a slightly different approach to the concept with their Data Center Mural Project. The idea of this massive program is to beautify their large data centers around the globe and connect them with the people that drive and walk past them. Whether it’s sharing photos, searching the web, or translating languages, billions of requests are sent to these […]
