Invader Continues Space Invasion

After taking his own work up to space and living up to his moniker, Invader has recently expanded his activities to spread his work further along similar lines. Not only has the French street artist put up his signature tiled mosaics up at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne and Euro Space Center in Belgium (above), but it also looks like one of his pieces has made it up with an astronaut to the International Space Station. Discuss Invader here.

Streets: ROA (Belgium)

Prolific world traveler ROA hardly has time to be in his home country, but it looks like he recently was in Belgium for the North West Walls project. We already touched on the event here for another artist, but now we have some photos to share from the anatomically obsessed street artist as he painted stacked containers at one of the country’s biggest music festivals. Take a look at an interview he gave here and check out some of the other artists’ efforts here. Photos via BA Street […]

The idea was to produce a […]

Streets: DALeast (Belgium)

DALeast has been having a quiet year focusing more on his studio work, traveling less and doing less street works. But recently, he took part in the Day One Festival in Roeselare, Belgium, organized by Street Art Belgium, by creating this massive piece on the docks. The Chinese-born artist painted this large image showing six human figures moving a large mountain. Painting in a country that doesn’t have one single mountain, this was artists symbolic present to the country. According to the artist, the image represents […]

Showing: “Just Before Brazil” @ Alice Gallery

Alice Gallery in Brussels recently opened a big group show entitled Just Before Brazil. The idea was to showcase the artists they invited to the Asphalte festival in Charleroi and to share with the world their works before everyone’s attention gets focused on Brazil and football. But, after settling on the first lineup of artists, they’ve decided to add few more names and ended up with an impressive list of 52 artworks by 26 artists from various parts of the globe, various backgrounds, and various ways […]

Streets: WK Interact @ Sint-Niklaas (Belgium)

If you think this beautiful public work of art is angelic, just wait until he actually returns to finish up the left part of the piece… stayed tuned for the completed mural. Until then enjoy a look below. Pictures via artist. Discuss WK Interact […]

Videos: ROA x Stop Over

If you remember from earlier this year, Belgium-based artist ROA put on a homecoming show in Brussels at Bodson-Emelinckx Gallery entitled Stop Over. Although we covered the exhibition extensively, photos sometimes don’t do justice to the interactive nature of his works. This latest video that Colin M. Day put together follows the street muralist as he hunted in the city for found materials and also includes footage of the opening as patrons and collectors played with the panels and moveable parts to ROA’s pieces. As a bonus, also check […]
